2017
Founding of Recare
Recare is founded in Berlin to digitally simplify discharge management and care coordination.
2018
Launch of the Acute Geriatrics Solution
The platform is expanded with solutions for acute geriatrics and grows to over 2,500 care facilities in the network.
2019
Rehabilitation Module Launches
With the new rehabilitation module, Recare expands the digital coordination of care requests.
2021
All Signs Point to Growth
Recare meets the mandatory criteria of the KHZG (Hospital Future Act), making digital discharge management fully eligible for funding. An ORBIT interface enables structured data exchange. Assistive devices & homecare services are also available via Recare.
2022
Implementation of KHZG Projects
2022 is defined by KHZG implementation. Large hospital chains and university hospitals choose Recare, some together with partners. In addition, Recare receives a funding round in the mid-single-digit million range.
2023
Joining Forces with Pflegeplatzmanager
With 300,000 care transitions, we reach a milestone and grow to around 70 employees. At the same time, we acquire Pflegeplatzmanager GmbH. The larger marketplace improves referral rates and lengths of stay.
2024
Full Speed in the KHZG Final Sprint
Pflegefinder Bayern, a care marketplace for citizens commissioned by the Bavarian Ministry of Health, goes live. We now count 700 hospitals and 24,000 care facilities on our platform. We also receive fresh capital and the BSI C5 attestation.
2025
Launch of New AI Solutions
Recare expands the platform with new AI applications for automating documentation and care processes.
2026
€37 Million Funding Round
Recare secures €37 million to expand the AI agent for clinics and care facilities — with DNV as lead investor.
